- Which MM2H category should I apply for?
- Match age, whether you need to work or run a business, how much fixed deposit you can place, and whether you will buy in Forest City. Platinum is the only federal category that permits employment and business. SEZ/SFZ has the lowest deposits but the residence must be in Forest City, Johor.
- What is the minimum age for MM2H?
- Applicants must be aged 25 and above for Silver, Gold and Platinum, or aged 21 and above for the SEZ/SFZ category. The programme is open to nationals of sovereign countries that have diplomatic relations with Malaysia.
- Can I switch categories later?
- The ministry publishes each category’s figures separately. Changing category after approval is not a self-serve step on this site: ask a licensed company and confirm with the ministry. The matcher only reads the published category rules.
