How do I check whether an MM2H agent is licensed?

Every licensed company holds a licence number in the form MM2H followed by three or four digits, issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. Match the company name and that number against the ministry register. This page mirrors that register, and each company has its own page here showing the licence number and the validity period the ministry publishes.

What does an MM2H agent actually do?

A licensed company lodges the application on your behalf, compiles and certifies the supporting documents, and handles correspondence with the ministry and the immigration department. It cannot approve your application, alter the financial requirements, or guarantee an outcome.

Does a lapsed validity period mean the company is no longer licensed?

Not necessarily. The register publishes a validity period for each licence and can lag behind a renewal, so a period shown as ended may simply not have been updated yet. This site reports the period exactly as the register states it. Confirm current standing with the ministry before engaging any company.

How much does an MM2H agent charge?

Service fees are set by each company and are not published in the ministry register, so no fixed figure can be quoted here. Ask for a written quotation, and keep it separate from the government participation fee, which is fixed per category.
